lvDCOM
An EPICS support module to export LabVIEW values as process variables
st.cmd

Example IOC Startup File. Calls lvDCOMConfigure() with appropriate arguments and lvDCOMOptions to map the LabVIEW values defined in lvinput.xml, then loads example.db to export these LabVIEW values as process variables.

##
## Example IOC Startup File for lvDCOM
##
## if you are using the lvDCOM binary distribution you may need to manually edit "envPaths"
< envPaths
cd ${TOP}
## Register all support components
dbLoadDatabase "dbd/example.dbd"
example_registerRecordDeviceDriver pdbbase
cd ${TOP}/iocBoot/${IOC}
## Turn on asynTraceFlow and asynTraceError for global trace, i.e. no connected asynUser.
#asynSetTraceMask("", 0, 17)
## main args are: portName, configSection, configFile, host, options (see lvDCOMConfigure() documentation in lvDCOMDriver.cpp)
##
## portName ("lvfp" below) refers to the asyn driver port name - it is the extrenal name used in epics DB files to refer to the driver instance
## configSection ("frontpanel" below) refers to the section of configFile ("lvinput.xml" below) where settings are read from
##
## there are additional optional args to specify a DCOM ProgID for a compiled LabVIEW application
## and a different username + password for remote host if that is required
##
## the "options" argument is a combination of the following flags (as per the #lvDCOMOptions enum in lvDCOMInterface.h)
## viWarnIfIdle=1, viStartIfIdle=2, viStopOnExitIfStarted=4, viAlwaysStopOnExit=8
lvDCOMConfigure("lvfp", "frontpanel", "$(TOP)/exampleApp/src/lvinput.xml", "", 6)
#lvDCOMConfigure("lvfp", "frontpanel", "$(TOP)/exampleApp/src/lvinput.xml", "", 6, "LvDCOMex.Application")
#lvDCOMConfigure("lvfp", "frontpanel", "$(TOP)/exampleApp/src/lvinput.xml", "ndxtestfaa", 6, "", "username", "password")
dbLoadRecords("$(TOP)/db/example.db","P=ex1:")
#dbLoadRecords("$(ASYN)/db/asynRecord.db","P=ex1:,R=asyn1,PORT=lvfp,ADDR=0,OMAX=80,IMAX=80")
